Anyone with creative ideas out there?

My bro is doing currently a traineeship at a great media agency and he did most of his task so far but got a problem with this one. I am not really a help (non-crative as hell) and promised him to ask here if somebody got an idea.

His task: He needs a name for an italian reataurant and a fitting logo. Afterwards he needs to make a flyer for the opening.

Anyone got an idea? Whatever it is - post it please. We´re grateful for EVERY idea!

Maybe something like Oliveto or Uliveto? The first thing that popped up on Google when I searched for "Italian Restaurant" was Olive Garden which didn't look so good in Italian (too long), so I tried "Olivenhain" (olive grove) in Italian and the result was Oliveto or Uliveto. And he could use olives and olive branches for a logo :)

Most Italian restaurants we go to here in the States have the name of the owner as the name of the restaurant: Mario's, Sofia's, Sal's, etc.

The logos usually feature a fat Italian looking guy in a chef's hat and apron, or a steaming plate of pasta.

Most Italian restaurants in Germany have the name of Italian cities, like Roma, Bella Napoli etc but the logos are the same like in the States, I guess: Fat Italian chefs with pizzas etc. Our favourite Italian restaurant owner looks exactly like that ^^
